Hannam Supermarket has been born in 1998 as the largest and first Korean Supermarket in Korean Community. It gave life to the dying North Road mall and gave a starting sign of a new Korean town. After 16 years passed, in 2015, currently it runs Burnaby and Surrey branch with daily visitors over 2,500 serving Korean foods and appliances (over 4,000 varieties).
Especially, the Burnaby branch is located in Burnaby/Coquitlam where most Koreans reside, helped over 200 Korean business to cluster around Hannam Supermarket. The Surrey branch has become the dominant Korean Supermarket in the area for 12 years. Located in booming Surrey Guildford area, growing rapidly among Chinese, Filipinos, Vietnamese,East Indians including all Asians and Canadians.
